All of the specimens have the length and width stated in cm within their label. If you need to have the specimen's depth, email us. The exceptions to this are the thumbnail specimens (Perkys and others). Since these fit inside the approximately 1" plastic cube display box (thumbnail), no dimensions are given. Email us if you want the specimen dimensions in any thumbnail box. Thank you.
SPECIMEN DIMENSIONS:
Due to the relatively small size of our website, most specimens will be illustrated with one photo or image. If you would like other photos or close-ups of any particular areas on a specimen, please let us know. Email the name, description number and Gallery number of any specimen for more photo detail.

For lighting, we usually use 4700K to 4800K and occasionally 3000K is used. These temperatures may vary somewhat depending on the specimen color.

At present we are using a Nikon D80 with Helicon Focus and Photoshop assists to give you the best reproductive image of each specimen as we possibly can. As you know, seeing a specimen in person is better than viewing it online. However, with recent and future developments in close-up digital photography, computer images are getting nearer, every day to the high quality 35mm photos exhibited in your favorite trade journal. As newer technological advances occur, we will strive to employ, on our website, any photographic equipment that we feel will give you an even better portrayal of our specimens.
